The Emmaus Hornets faced the Pleasant Valley Bears on Friday night.
It was a rough night for the bears as the Hornets kept the pressure on.
The Bears did have some highlights though, like this sack which actually resulted in intentional grounding for the Hornets.
The Bears kept working and gained some yards on the ground.
The passing game was harder to get going.
Emmaus kept the pressure on and won the game.
High School teams all across the country are taking the field under the lights to compete in football competition. There is nothing quite like the atmosphere of Friday night football!
I was on the sidelines this past Friday night to cover two local games. You can see more of the photos from these games here:
This past weekend was a great one in the mountains! I was with my son, James, and we took our daily elk runs in the truck to locate and photograph the Pennsylvania Elk. Friday evening we saw a group of cows and then noticed a 4×5 bull standing in the river!
I grabbed my camera and tripod and made my way to a good vantage point and the fun began. Unbeknownst to me, James was capturing some video footage with his cell phone. The bull put on a quite a display for us.
There is nothing quite like a Friday night when you see and photograph a bull in the river!
Friday night football is back! I had the privilege to photograph the Friday night football atmosphere at Pleasant Valley High School as they hosted Easton last night for the opening game of the season. The excitement and enthusiasm of pre-game on Friday nights is hard to beat!
PV played a hard-fought battle against Easton and showed some definite signs of promise for this season. Yes, they have a new quarterback and a new head coach, but they will be okay.
The above photo ran in today’s Pocono Record. You can see the full gallery of my photos from Friday night’s game here.
