Thank you to all my photo friends who I had the privilege of sharing this week with during the PA elk rut on Winslow Hill. I had an incredible time with you! Thanks Dick, Brad, Willard, Coy, John, Buckwheat, and Odie! I also had the privilege of meeting Dave Anderson and he showed me his painting of Fred, which is absolutely awesome!
I will be posting stories and photos of my week’s experience in elk country but I wanted to say a big “thank you” to my photo friends who I appreciate so much! Our camaraderie and common passion for photography and the PA elk are truly appreciated by me.
Thank you!
Bob,
Shooting the elk rut is nearly as much about “shooting the bull” with like minded people as it is about photographing the Bull; both and equally enjoyable. I really enjoyed the time we spent doing both with you and Dick.
Coy,
I could not agree more. I will “shoot the bull” with you classy guys any day of the week and twice on Sundays! I am only home one day and I miss the mountains and the photo outings already. Photographing the fall rut surely is something to be cherished! Thank you for your photo friendship!
I really enjoyed talking with you and Dick and sharing some of the great elk experiences that we had. I am a bit behind the curve, but really appreciated you re-mail and will write you back soon. You are so right about the fighting in your last post. I actually thought I recorded a significant amount of antler contact near the pond on Friday morning and thought it would work for a fight sequence, but it was too short and not nearly as violent as I thought when filming it.
