Faa Bilateral Agreement With Japan

For aircraft certification and maintenance, additional implementation procedures will cover specific topics such as design clearance, production receipt, export authorisation, post-design authorisation activities, technical cooperation and maintenance. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) announced the signing of a bilateral Aviation Safety Agreement (BASA) and Airworthiness Implementation Procedures (IAP) between the United States and Japan that will allow for the mutual certification of aircraft and aeronautical products. BASA also contains provisions on mutual cooperation and technical assistance between the two signatory States. .
